"Had a crab cake. Great size, good price. Was it the best ever, no but certainly was not the worst. I would order it again. The crab dip was pretty good. Went around 7pm, it was giving club vibe and a little chaotic. Although walking out folks were smoking weed right outside the door and I was hit with that smell that knocked me back. Also there were teenagers selling candy right at the entrance and I actually saw him walking thru the restaurant later on. Overall it wasn't a bad experience, I just wished the extra stuff wasn't going on."

"Hazelwood Inn has come up in office conversation several times over the years. I was lucky enough to remember it when passing through. Let me start by saying, their crabcakes need to be in all of our crabcake conversations when talking about the best. If you need bigger lump, then you might actually want Alaskan King Crab or lobster or something. Their lumps are absolutely massive. If price is your concern, then you need to consider catching your own crabs. If quantity isn't enough, then you may need to consider gastric surgery. I say this all in light-hearted fun, but the price per quality and quantity can not be beat. The service was outstanding, and our waitress was on point the whole time. The lamb chops were as good as legends foretold. I actually was not interested at first. I tried one, and that almost changed my whole dinner game-plan."

"Great warm environment. Service is great. Food is great. Portion size is well worth the money. My first time was early September 2025. The food was so good i went back 2 weeks later and brought more family members with me. My 12 yr old grand son got the shrimp and crabmeat fettuccine alfredo pasta and so did I I asked him to rate his meal from 1 to 10. He rated is a 9. He said it was really good. He was right it was delicious."

"I've been there several times so this is a general review. Whatever I order is always HUGE and DELICIOUS. My faves are the Liver and Onions and Chicken Marsala, the French Onion soup and for dessert the bread pudding with rum sauce. But on Valentine's Day I ordered the Seafood Platter ($42) which is a 8oz crab cake, fish, oysters, scallops, shrimp, a side salad and grilled broccoli. Hey, it was Valentine's Day and he said, "Get whatever". Never tell a woman to "get whatever". Plus I had the "drink of the day". He had the steak and crab cake (8oz) platter. The steak covered half the plate and was done as ordered. His side was mashed potatoes and asparagus. Waiters and Waitresses are great, always friendly, and eager to make sure everything is as desired. Note#1: If you go on a Sunday, get there before one in the afternoon. Seems like it's an "after church" place to go. Note#2: Eat a light breakfast, don't eat lunch.. save your appetite for Hazelwood. And even with that you'll have plenty left over to bring home."
